9.5  High Water Temperature Limit 

The water heater Electronic Operating Control System (EOS) includes a single probe that contains a high water 
temperature limit and a completely separate upper tank operating sensor. Since both these sensors are in the same 
location in the heated storage tank, the EOS checks to be sure their output is within a degree or two of each other. If 
not, or if the maximum water temperature exceeds 200ºF, the EOS will lockout and the manual reset button on the 
control panel must be pressed before the heater will resume operation.
