Warnings & Guidelines

The Purflo bedside crib has been designed and developed with safety, comfort and functionality in mind.

COMPLIES WITH BS EN 1130-1:1997 & prEN 1130:2016

Please take time to read and understand the warnings, advice and instructions carefully – retain for future reference.

WARNING:  Failure  to  follow  these  warnings  and  the 
instructions could result in serious injury.
WARNING:  Before  use  dispose  of  all  plastic  bags  and 
packaging material and keep them away from children.
WARNING: This product is intended for use for babies 
aged  between  0  and  6  months,  weighing  up  to  a 
maximum of 20lbs/9kg.
WARNING:  When  your  baby  begins  to  push  up  on 
hands  and  knees  or has  reached 20lbs/9kg,  whichever 
comes first, stop using the bedside crib for this baby.
WARNING:  Do  not  use  this  product  if  any  parts  are 
broken or missing.
WARNING: It is dangerous to use the bedside crib on 
any raised surface such as a table.
WARNING: Be aware of the risk of open fires and other 
sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, 
etc. in the vicinity of the bedside crib.

• 

Before  assembly,  check  you  have  all  of  the 
components and none of them have been damaged 
during transportation.  Should any parts be missing 
or appear damaged do not use. Keep out of reach of 
children.  

• 

Ensure that users of this product are knowledgeable 
on its proper operation.

WARNING:  When  your  baby  is  left  unattended  in  the 
bedside  crib,  in  bedside  crib  mode,  always  make  sure 
the drop side rail is locked in place and the zippers are 
completely closed.

• 

All  opening  ,  adjusting,  anchoring  and  positioning 
must be carried out by a knowledgeable adult.

• 

Before use in bedside crib mode (fixed to the bed) 
make  sure  the  product  is  properly  anchored  and 
positioned.

WARNING:    When  the  product  is  used  in  bedside 
crib    mode,  before  laying  your  baby  in  to  the  bedside 
crib,  make  sure  the  Bed  Connector  Straps  are  securely 
connected and tensioned to your/the parents’ bed.  
WARNING:  When  the  bedside  crib  is  connected  to 
your/the parents’ bed in bedside crib mode there must 
be no more than a 2cm gap, between the bedside crib 
and your/ the parents’ bed. Before every use check the 
gap between your/ the parent’s bed and the side of the 
bedside crib. Adjust the bed connector straps if needed.
WARNING: In the bedside crib mode the two legs of the 
sleeper should always be adjusted to the same height.

• 

Always place the bedside crib on a firm, horizontal, 
even floor. Never leave the bedside crib on an inclined 
surface with your baby inside the bedside crib.

• 

Keep the Bed Connector Straps away from children.

• 

Do  not  allow  children  to  play  unsupervised  in  the 
vicinity of the bedside crib

• 

Only use the mattress provided by PurFlo in this bedside 
crib.  Never  use  any  mattress  that  is  higher  than  the 
20cm warning labelling inside the bedside crib. 

• 

Do not leave any object inside the product that could 
reduce it’s depth.

• 

Do not position the bedside crib near walls and obstacles 
to prevent entrapment.

• 

Do not adjust the bedside crib with your baby inside.

• 

Do not move the bedside crib with your baby inside.

• 

Do not exceed the recommended weight of 20lbs/9kg.

• 

Do  not  leave  small  objects  inside  the  bedside  crib  to 
prevent choking hazard.

• 

The  bedside  crib  must  be  kept  away  from  cords  and 
electrical cables.  Do not position the bedside crib near 
windows where cords, curtains or similar objects might 
pose chocking or strangulation hazards. 

• 

Do  not  apply  accessories  nor  any  spare  parts  to  the 
bedside crib that are not approved by the manufacturer. 

• 

Prolonged exposure to sun light mat cause changes in 
the fabrics colour.

• 

If  the  bedside  crib  has  been  in  the  sun  check  the 
temperature before placing your baby in to the bedside 
crib – avoid your baby overheating.

• 

All  fittings  should  always  be  tightened  properly  and 
care should be taken that no fixings are loose, as your 
baby  could  trap  parts  of  their  body  or  clothing  (e.g. 
strings,  necklaces,  ribbons  for  babies’  dummies,  etc.), 
which would pose a risk of harm.

• 

Check  the  bedside  crib  regularly  before  using  it, 
especially after machine washing.  Ensure all seams are 
intact, there are no tears and the zipper works properly.   

• 

Do not use the bedside crib if any parts are broken, torn 
or missing.

• 

Only use fitted sheets manufactured by Purflo, additional 
sheets can be purchased from www.purflo.com 

• 

Infants should only be placed on their backs to sleep

• 

Soft bedding can cause suffocation! Do not place any 
quilts, loose blankets, pillows or additional mattress in 
this bedside crib.

• 

Your baby should always be placed on their backs to 
sleep.

• 

Use of this product is only permitted with beds and/or 
mattresses with straight sides, use of the product with 
round mattresses or water beds is not permitted.
