3. Installation.
3.1. Requirements.
The module is to be mounted by a qualified installer, holding relevant permits and licenses (applicable and
required for a given country) for 230V/AC interference and low-voltage installations. The unit should be mounted in
confined spaces, in accordance with the 2nd environmental class, with normal relative humidity (RH=90% maximum,
without condensation) and temperature from -10°C to +40°C.
Before installation, define the maximum distance between the module and the supplied camera, taking into
account voltage drops at the wires and the camera’s minimum voltage.
3.2. Installation procedure.
1. Mount the video module on dowel pins, inside the enclosure (the dowel pins shall be fixed prior to the installation of
the enclosure/cabinet).
2. Lead the DC voltage to the +IN1-…+IN-4 terminals, keeping the polarisation.
3. Connect the receivers’ wires to +OUT1-…+OUT4- connectors on the module’s board.
4. Connect the video signal to the receivers and recorder to BNC sockets.
5. Connect the DC power (green LED should be permanently illuminated).
6. Once the tests and operation control have been completed, the enclosure/cabinet can be locked.
4. LED indication.
The module features LEDs indicating operating status:
DC - green diode
: under normal status (DC supply) the diode is permanently illuminated. The absence of DC
supply is indicated by the diode going out.
L1…L4 - yellow diodes
: indicate presence of the video signal. Under normal status (presence of video
signal) the diodes are permanently illuminated. If the camera is off, or there is no video signal – the diodes are
off.
5. Operation and use.
Since the video module is not equipped with an overload/a short-circuit protection, it must be provided by using an
appropriate power supply unit (e.g. PSBSEP04124) or a fuse strip.
6. Maintenance.
Any and all maintenance operations may be performed following the disconnection of the PSU from the power
supply network. The PSU does not require performing any specific maintenance measures. However, in case of a
thick dust layer, clean the PSU only with compressed air.
