• Power on the CableMaster 800/850.
• Press the enter button or cable test soft key.
• Press the Tone Generator soft key .
• The CableMaster 800/850 will automatically activate the tone generator upon
entering the tone generator menu.
• Connect a cable to either the RJ45 jack or coax connector located on the top of the
CableMaster 800/850.
• To switch between RJ45 and coax, press the coax cable soft key
. Press the
soft key
again to return to the RJ45 tone screen.
• Press the up or down arrow buttons to select tone cadences 1 thru 4.
• Press the left or right arrow buttons to select which pin or pair to place the tone.
• Use any tone probe alongside the cable or at the end of the cable to hear an
audible tone.
