CONNECTING:
1. For optimum use, we recommend a regulated and/or isolated 9V DC power adapter
that is rated higher than the pedal’s current rating (or collection of pedals if using a
daisy chain configuration). Only use a 9V DC power supply with the following center
negative symbol:
(Note: Battery Power – By removing the four screws on the rear panel, you can
access the battery terminal and power the pedal via 9V DC battery).
2. Input Jack – Plug the cable from your source into the input jack. (Note: When using
a 9V battery, we recommend unplugging from the input jack to preserve battery
power when not in use).
3. Output Jack - Connect the cable from the output jack to another pedal or directly
into your amplifier.
BASIC OPERATION:
4. True Bypass On/Off Switch – Use this to turn the effect on and off. (Note: True
Bypass – This is a hardwire bypass allowing no coloration of your tone while the
pedal is in the off position).
5. Gain – This setting determines the amount of gain the unit generates. When the
knob is turned all the way to the left it will generate little to no gain and when
turned all the way right it will deliver maximum gain.
6. Level – Use this to determine the output level from the pedal. Overall headroom
will be different depending on your choice of pedals and amplifier, so experiment
to find the best results for your style of playing and gear.
7. Voice – Controls the frequency response in the clipping stage, affecting both the tone
and feel. Turn the knob left for a smoother, fatter tone and right for a glassier tone.
8. Treble – Use this knob to cut (counterclockwise) or boost (clockwise) Horsemeat’s
response to higher frequencies. You will find rich harmonic response even at the
highest settings.
9. Bass - Use this knob to cut (counterclockwise) or boost (clockwise) the pedal’s
response to lower frequencies. Turning the bass response all the way up will boost
your low-end to places many have never experienced.
