Automatic Call Recording

Cancelling call recording
If the internal user has the relevant authorisation, they can cancel call
recording. In doing so, the entire recording of the call segment in which they
participated is discarded. If the connection was transferred to the user, the
audio files created prior to that point are retained. If the user transferred the
external party to another subscriber themselves, the recording is restarted for
the new call segment.
Authorisation to cancel call recording is provided in the
Configurator
, menu
User manager
:
User groups
with the
Cancel auto recording
setting.
Call recording can only be cancelled on system telephones on which a
corresponding function key has been configured, see also the chapter
Programming Function Keys for Controlling Automatic Recording
Audio Files for Call Recordings
The sections below provide information on the audio files that the
communications system creates automatically during call recordings.
File Format and Meta-Data
Each recording is saved in a separate audio file in *.wav format (coded
according to CCITT, 8 Bit PCM, A-law 8 kHz mono). The files can be configured
such that they are compressed and exported to the external server in *.zip
format. The Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system
automatically assigns a file name. The file name contains the meta-data
concerning the audio file:
Connection transferred from a call
queue
started once call is picked up
Hunt group call number is called
started as soon as a group member
accepts the call
Connection to subscriber no. 1 is
