Routine Testing of the Device
Recommendations for testing of the system are detailed in BS5839 Pt 1: 2017 Section 6.
The routine testing for the device is briefly detailed below.
6.1
Daily Inspection
Check that the Supply Present indicator is illuminated.
Check for any faults on the system and report these to the site maintenance manager.
6.2
Weekly Test
Perform the daily test recommended in 6.1.
Perform an indicator test (lamp test) to check the integrity of the front panel indications, and
internal buzzer.
