11.5.2 Draining the Lye Storage Tank
You only need to drain the lye storage tank during
three-yearly maintenance.
Use the hose supplied with couplings and a tank
with a minimum capacity of 20 litres to drain the lye
storage tank.

Close both stopcocks (1) under the lye storage tank.

With Chlorinsitu ® -III < 2000 g/h: 2 stopcocks

With Chlorinsitu ® -III ≥ 2000 g/h: 3 stopcocks
2. Close the cathode valve (2) on the membrane cell.
3. Remove the supply cable to the membrane cell out of the
system and allow the supply line to slowly drain into the col‐
lection tank.
4. Open the cathode valve and allow the membrane cell to
slowly drain into the collection tank.

Unscrew the coupling (1) on the cathode valve.
6. Remove the cathode valve from the supply line.
7. Replace the cathode valve O-rings.
