rectly.
2
Switch on the main switch.
3
Switch on the master fuse in the control cabinet.
4
Switch on the 24 V AC/24 V DC control voltage and power supply fuse.
5
Open the water valve of the system.
6
Check that the water supply has adequate pressure (> 1.5 bar < 5 bar) and adjust with the
pressure regulating valve if necessary.
7
Use a test kit to measure the hardness of the raw water.
8
Check whether the brine tank is filling with softened water.
9
Check whether the feed to the brine tank is stopped by the liquid level switch.
10
Set the softener regeneration time according to the hardness measured.
11
Use a test kit to measure the hardness of the softened water.
12
Remove the blanking plates on the vacuum transmitter and membrane cells.
13
Insert the chlorine sensor into the holder (not with the Chlorinsitu-III 100-500 g/h).
14
Open all ball valves except for the sample valve and the control valve for the cooling water.
15
Enter the SMART Production parameters.
16
Wear safety clothing.
Open the lid of the caustic tank and fill the tank with lye in accordance with the basic setting list
for the quantity of lye.
17
Replace the lid on the caustic tank.
18
Switch on the booster pump and fan on the display.
19
Check the direction of rotation of the fan.
20
Adjust the sensor air flow.
21
Switch on "Start-up".
22
Check on the display whether the flow is being measured.
23
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT LYE IN THE CAUSTIC TANK AND
PRODUCTION TANK. TOXIC CHLORINE GAS CAN BE RELEASED CAUSING SERIOUS
HEALTH PROBLEMS IF THERE IS NO LYE IN THE TANKS.
Before commencing production, make sure that lye is filling into the caustic tank.
WARNING: Chlorine gas can be released if production is started without lye.
MAKE SURE THAT ALL BLANKING PLATES ON THE MEMBRANE CELL AND ON THE
NEGATIVE PRESSURE GAUGE HAVE BEEN REMOVED.
MAKE SURE THAT ALL BALL VALVES (EXCEPT FOR THE SAMPLE VALVE) HAVE BEEN
OPENED.
LYE CAN ESCAPE FROM THE MEMBRANE CELL AND CAUSE SERIOUS HEALTH PROB‐
LEMS IF THE BLANKING PLATES ARE NOT REMOVED AND A BALL VALVE IS STILL
CLOSED.
