Scenting via HVAC System
Wall Mounting or Duct Mounting the Machine
Step 1: Mounting Kit, Parts and Tools
The mounting kit provided with the AQ570 (with HVAC kit) includes a mounting plate, which holds
the appliance to the wall or duct surface; 4 screws and wall anchors suitable for attaching the
mounting plate to drywall and 4 sheet-metal screws suitable for attaching the mounting plate to
ductwork; 2 short flat-head screws to attach the bracket to the wall; and 2 long, round-head screws
to secure the machine after it has been attached to the mounting plate. Use appropriate fasteners
when mounting on another surface.
You will need the following tools:
1. A level
2. A hammer (if drywall installation)
3. A Phillips screwdriver
4. A pointed tool (pen, pencil or
small screwdriver)
5. A 1/8” drill bit
6. A ¾” step drill bit
7. A drill
8. A cutting device to complete step 11.1.

Step 2: Marking the Top Anchor Holes
Place the mounting bracket at the desired position. Use the level to make sure the mounting bracket
is horizontal. While holding the bracket level, use a pointed tool such as a screwdriver or pen to mark
the location of the top two holes. Check again with the level to ensure the bracket is horizontal.
