3.1 Operation
Connect the supplied main cable to a socket (230V~/50Hz). Then the unit is ready for operation and can be
operated via a DMX controller or independently displays its show programme in succession. To switch off,
disconnect the main plug from the socket. For a more convenient operation it is recommend to connect the
unit to a socket which can be switched on and off via a light switch.
3.2 Operation without DMX controller
If the CABARET305 does not receive any DMX control signal, the light beams will light up. When music is
played at sufficient volume with a clear rhythm in the bass range the change of colour will be controlled
via the internal microphone (3). With each music control pulse, the indicating led (11) will shortly be ex-
tinguished. For music control adjust the control SENSITIVITY (4) for the microphone sensitivity so that the
dynamic power of the music will be reproduced in an optimum way by changes of the colours.
3.3 Linking
Several units may be interconnected in order to control all further slave units to the same rhythm via the
microphone of the master unit.
1. Connect the DMX OUT (6) of the master unit via a 3-pole XLR cable to the DMX IN (7) of the first slave unit.
2. Connect the DMX OUT of the first slave unit to the DMX IN of the second slave unit, etc. until all units are
connected in a chain.
3. On the slave units, set all DIP-switches n° 1 – 9 as show below (Fig.5). Once the slave units receive the con-
trol signals of the master unit, the indicating led of the slave units will shortly light up every 2 seconds.
