INSTALLATION OF YOUR SMOKE DETECTOR
Remove the mounting bracket by turning it anticlockwise
(to the left). This bracket must be assembled on the ceiling.
Use a pencil to mark the drill holes through the mounting
bracket on your ceiling. Drill the holes and insert the plugs
if necessary.
Take the battery out of the compartment and remove the
plastic cover. Insert the battery in the detector.
TIP:
check the detector for correct operation. Press the test
button on the top of the detector for several seconds. If
the detector sounds a loud signal it is working perfectly. Fit
the batteries correctly. If they are not inserted correctly the
product cannot work or there is a risk of explosion (with
lithium batteries).
Fit the smoke detector on the bottom plate and turn it
clockwise (to the right).
CAUTION:
a smoke detector without battery CANNOT be fit-
ted on the bottom plate.
Screw the bottom plate tight on the ceiling. Make sure that
the bottom plate is tight against the ceiling so no air can
circulate above the smoke detector and impede smoke
detection. If necessary seal this opening with mastic.
