1. INTRODUCTION

We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our pump. We appreciate your trust. That‘s why functional

security and operational safety stands on first place for us.

To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual carefully. Please

observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper use of the pump. Failure to follow the

instructions and safety precautions can result in injury or property damage.

Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions carefully in order to at any

time you can restore them.

2. IN GENERAL

The pumps in the catagorie Booster pumps are developed according to the newest stand of technology, manufac-

tured with much care and go under strict intensive controls.

These pumps were optimised by us in particular for their special demands. Make sure after unpacking the pump that

the data given on the type label match with the included operating instructions. In the case of doubt the pump is not

to be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and to us in written form.

3. RANGES OF APPLICATION

The pumps are designed for pumping clear water (no waste water), free of abrasive ingredients (sand, mud, aggres-

sive chemical substances). The water may have to be pre-filtered to 0.2 mm particle size. The pumps are suitable for

the following applications:

l

Filling and emptying rain tanks, containers, etc.

l

 Water re-circulation

l

Rainwater use in garden and house

l

 Pond dewatering

l

Water use from brook, pond or river

IMPORTANT!

The pumps are designed for pumping clean water and chemically non-aggressive liquids. Any guarantee is void in

case of improper use. They are not suitable for pumping flammable liquids or for use in places where there is danger

of an explosion. The pumps are designed for home use in the house and garden.

These pumps are not designed for continuous use (without interruptions). In continuous operation mode, the lifetime

will be shortened accordingly. Never run more than 5 minutes against a closed valve pump. Save the pump against

dry running (install dry run protection). Booster pumps may not be used in swimming-pools.

Maximum on/off frequency shall not exeed 15 switches per hour. Increasing switching rate reduces pump-life time

accordingly.

4. OPERATION

The installation must be performed by a qualified professional.

Please, check each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not damaged. Also, it

is NOT recommended to perform, for example, a cable extension. It is not certain whether this modification

is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently cooled during

prolonged operation.

The specified suction lift is the maximum suction at optimal conditions. The suction line to the pump has to be steadi-

ly increasing. The pump and the suction pipe must be filled with clean water before turning „on“ the pump. Do not

reduce the suction and discharge lines. Connect suction and discharge lines to the pump by means of reinforced

metal hose. For stationary use please place the pump on rubber pads to reduce vibration transmission to and from

the pump and thereby prevent damage caused. The suction and discharge line should be connected to to the pump

in souch way, that no mechanical stress on the connections occure. For example, Fix lines by pipe clamps with

rubber insert on the wall.

5. SECURITY TIPS

l

Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security

l

 Never run pump dry

l

Pumping inflammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited

l

Pay attention to the medium temperature max. 35°C

l

Never pull the pump on the electrical cable or pressure hose

l

Disconnect the plug immediately from the power grid when the line has been damaged or severed

l

Avoid cross section reduction (cable, hoses and pipes)

l

Pay attention to the given particle size

l

During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it at room temperature

 l

Test wells for enough flowing water (dry run danger)

 l

The pump is to be secured / protected through a RCD circuit breaker (release current 30 mA)

 l

The electrical connections are always to be carried out by an authorised professional

l

Operation can not be performed by children and young people under 16 and people with intellectual disabilities

l

The pump must be protected from rain and moisture. The pump may only be operated in dry rooms. The

ingress of water into the energized components of the pump increases the risk of electric shock

THE MANUFACTURER EXPLAINS:

l

To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to the

instructions in this user manual.

l

To reject every responsibility for the damages which originate from the improper use of the pump

6. SERVICING

Please check and readjust regularly (once per 6 months) the airpressure in the tank (Photo 2).  The

„on“/“off“- pressure can be readjusted by service-personal  according Photo 1. In case of any prefilter, please

clean regularly and check prefilter for propper function. Under normal pumping conditions the pump requires

no servicing.

Service: The following should be checked:

l

That the cable is not damaged

l

That the hoses are not bent or broken

l

That no sand or dirt is in the pump or connections

Moreover, the pump should be emptied at risk of frost, be washed out with clear water and stored dry.

7. GUARANTEE REGULATIONS

For all manufacturing and material defects, the statutory warranty applies. In these cases we take the replacement

or repair of the pump. Shipping costs shall not be borne by our company, except as required by law. Please report

the warranty on our service platform http://www.profi-pumpe.de/service.php. We will inform you how to proceed with

case-related. Please mark returns sufficient postage. Unfortunately not prepaid returns can not be accepted because

they are filtered out before destination. We provide our service in Germany.

The warranty does not cover:

l

Material wear (sealing rings, impeller wheels, impeller chambers)

l

Unjustified interventions or changes in the pump

l

 Damages by selffault

l

 Improper servicing and improper use

l

DRY RUNNIG (Also partially!) of the pump

Moreover, we give no damage compensation for secondary damages!

Please read the user manual before using
