5.1.1.
KDC3905/3915
The basic wiring diagram of keyboard and peripherals for KDC3905 and 3915 is shown in Figure 1
(18 pin plug).
Note!
The connectors of KDC39xx keyboards have been reorganized, which is why keyboards with
two layouts can be found. Signals remain compatible with each other, but it is not possible to
confuse the connected cables
–
new ones cannot be connected to the keyboard with old ones and
vice versa. The order of plugs (8 and 12 pins) and the signal layout have been changed. Now for
simple installations with a single satellite just use the 12 pin plug.
Both output variants are shown in the following figures.
Keyboard is powered from DC voltage in the range of 14-24V DC, minimum 1A. The power supply
should be supplied with the thickest possible cable; the resistance of supply should not exceed
10Ω (in total on PWR+24V and PGND lines). Power supply should be connected to the keyboard
with a separate pair in a twisted-pair cable or with a separate cable (it is not allowed to connect
the power supply ground and AGND ground). Each keyboard should have a separate power supply.
Dedicated power supplies can be purchased at the Proel store.
