You can adjust the suction eff ect using the
suction strength regulators (1). This aff ects
how eff ectively the dust is extracted away
from the working area, but powerful suction
can also make the work easier, as the sanding
head is then sucked in towards the wall or
ceiling, taking the burden off the user.
Replacing the sanding pad
If the fi xed sanding pad becomes damaged
or worn, replace it.
Switch off the wall and ceiling sander at the
mains.
Turn the sander over so that the sanding pad
is facing upwards.
Insert the Allen key into the lock screw
located in the middle of the sanding pad and
turn it anticlockwise.
Remove the lock screw and lift off the worn
sanding pad. Place a new sanding pad on the
axle and ensure that it is centred.
Secure the sanding pad in place using the
lock screw and check that it rotates freely
without vibrating.
Replacing carbon brushes
If the sander generates an excessive amount
of sparks or if the motor will not start, this
may indicate that the spring-loaded carbon
brushes are worn.
Check the carbon brushes regularly by
removing the carbon brush holders (7) using
a screwdriver and removing the carbon
brushes.
Replace the carbon brushes using the extra
brushes provided (12) once they become
worn down.
Both brushes must be replaced at the same
time.
After changing the carbon brushes, the
wall and ceiling sander must be operated
unloaded for 10 minutes.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the wall and ceiling sander with a brush
after use, or blow it clean with pressurised air.
