WARNING:

Cycling can be dangerous. Bicycle products

should be installed and serviced by a professional mechanic.
Never modify your bicycle or accessories. Read and follow
all product instructions and warnings including information
on the manufacturer’s website. Inspect your bicycle before
every ride. Always wear a helmet and use lights at night.
Failure to heed any of these warnings may result in serious
injury or death.

STUFF YOU NEED:

•  A frame with a Ø28.6/31.8mm seat tube
•  A drivetrain with a 7–11-speed chain

TOOlS:

•  4mm hex wrench
•  2.5mm hex wrench
•  Torque wrench

INSTAllATION:

1.   Open up the clamp and place the ChainSpy on the

seat tube (for 28.6mm tubes, use the included shims).
Loosely snug the clamp bolt with a 4mm hex wrench
(fig 1).

2.   Loosen the slider bolt and position the chain cradle over

the chain. When it’s in place, loosely secure the slider
bolt (fig 2).

3.   You will probably have to adjust the clamp up and down

as well as the side-to-side position to get the ChainSpy
in just the right place. Be sure to run through all of your
rear gears to ensure the chain doesn’t rub on the sides
(fig 3). Adjust the ChainSpy height by moving the clamp
up and down. You can also make adjustments by rotating
the slider fore and aft (fig 4).

4.   When the ChainSpy is in place, torque the clamp and

slider bolts 3–5 Nm.
