1. Loosen the nut several turns (Fig. 1-2).
2. Turn the bolt clockwise to lower the cut
depth. Raise the depth by turning the
bolt counterclockwise.
3. Pull the arm down and check the blade’s
depth. It should not come into contact
with the base (#1).
4. When the blade is at the desired depth, hold the bolt in
place and tighten the nut. This will prevent it from shaking
loose during use.
ADJUSTING THE WORK VISE
1. Release the tension on the screw clamp by turning the
handle (Fig. 2-1) counterclockwise for 1/2 to 1 full turn.
2. Lift the quick lock lever (Fig. 2-2) up and pull back the
screw clamp handle sliding the vise open.
3. Pull up the handle to disengage the screw, then adjust the
handle to the desired position. Release the handle
reengages the screw for loosening (counterclockwise).
4. Loosen the fence lock lever (#98). Adjust the quick adjust
fence (#72) to the desired angle (from 90° to 45°) and
tighten the fence lock lever (Fig. 3).
4.1 An angle finder is recommended for cuts between
these angles.
5. Adjust the movable clamp (Fig. 2-3) by moving the
pivoting handle in or out as needed to fit the workpiece.
The workpiece should be resting flush with the base.
6. Align the moveable clamp (Fig. 4-5) and quick adjust fence
(Fig. 4-4) so the workpiece’s center line (Fig. 4-6) is in line
or in front of the cut off blade’s center line (Fig. 4-2).
6.1 Cut into the workpeice with the shaded area (Fig. 4-3)
of the cut off blade (Fig. 4-1). It will reduce the chances
