OPERATION
CAUTION! Do not place fingers of other parts of your
body between the cogs when raising the handle. A
pinch or crushing injury may occur.
The diameter sizes are etched into the knob’s facets
of each cog. The same size selection on each knob
must face inwards to match the cog openings.
1. Turn the knob on each cog (E & F) until the
correct diameter size is selected (Fig. 1).
2. Insert the pipe from underneath until it sticks
out one or two inches above the tool (Fig. 2).
3. Swing the handle (D) up until it is at a 90°
angle. The clamping cog (F) will move forward
to fix the pipe in place.
4. Position the flaring cone (C) into the end of
the tubing. Add a drop of oil on the flaring
cone before inserting it into the tubing. This
will make it easier to form the flare.
5. Tighten the flaring cone by turning the T-bar
(A) clockwise (Fig. 3).
6. Continue to tighten the flaring cone until the
end of the tube is flared correctly (Fig. 4).
7. Loosen the flaring cone and rotate it back to
the rest position (Fig. 5).
8. Swing the handle back until it is horizontal
with the tool. This will free the tube (Fig. 6).
9. Remove the tube through the bottom of the
tool (Fig. 7).
