Error Messages
This section explains the messages that appear when an error has occurred in the ST unit during RUN mode.
The problem causing the error message and its related countermeasure are explained in the table below.
After a problem has been solved, unplug the ST's power cord and then reattach it.
(Only the latest error message will appear on the ST screen)

ILLEGAL ADDRESS IN
SCREEN DATA
Settings are used that overlap
addresses.
Set the addresses correctly after
checking the screen data.
UNSUPPORTED TAG IN
SCREEN DATA
The ST currently in use does not
support the desired Tag.
Set the Tag correctly after checking
the screen data.
PLC NOT CONNECTED
(02 : FF) and (02 : F7)
The communication cable is not
connected correctly.
Re-connect the communication
cable correctly.
PLC NOT RESPONDING
(02 : FE)
PLC's power is not turned ON.
Turn ON the PLC's power.
ST unit INITIALIZE settings (Setup
I/O, PLC Setting) are incorrect.
Check the INITIALIZE settings and
make any necessary corrections.
The ST unit is turned ON before the
PLC's power is ON.
Turn ON the PLC's power and wait
for 2-3 seconds, then turn ON the
ST's power.
The communication cable is not
connected properly.
Check the communication cable
and connect it correctly.
RECEIVE DATA ERROR
(02 : FD)
The communication cable was dis-
connected while the ST was ON.
Turn the ST OFF and then ON
again.
"The ST is powered OFF, then ON
during communication with PLC."
Turn the ST OFF and then ON
again.
Noise occurred in the communica-
tion cable.
Check the communication cable
and connect it correctly.
GP STATION NO. DUPLICA-
TION ERROR (02 : F9)
This ST's station number is same
as another ST.
Check all ST station numbers, and
set them so they are all unique.
PLC is powered OFF, then ON dur-
ing communication with ST.
Turn the ST OFF and then ON
again.
NETWORK ADDRESS
ERROR (02 : F8)
The SIO address used for this ST is
different from other ST's. (Only for
the Multi-Link connection)
Check all ST's SIO address set-
tings, and correct any that are
incorrect.
