Never pull the mains cord
out beyond the red marker.
Pulling the cord out further
can damage the cable reel.

1. Pull out the mains cord (13)
until the yellow marker (27)
on the mains cord (13) can be
seen. If the red marker (28)
emerges, the mains cord (13)
has been pulled out too far.
Allow the mains cord (13)
to retract slightly (see “Gen-
eral customer service” on
page EN-32).
2. Insert the mains plug (13) into
a properly installed socket.

3. Use your foot to operate the
on/off foot switch (4), to switch
the appliance on.
4. To vacuum, push and pull the
nozzle across the surface you
are vacuuming. Rotate the
telescopic tube handle (15)
slightly to reach corners more
effectively. This positions the
nozzle diagonally.
In rare cases this can make
a whistling noise initially. This is
not a malfunction and stops after
a while.
