Selecting the operating mode
There are two ways to select an operating
mode:
• Press the “Microwave/Grill/Combi” but-
ton (17) repeatedly.
• Press the“Microwave/Grill/Combi” but-
ton (17) once and then turn the function
selector (15).
The operating modes are shown on the dis-
play (11) in the form different indicators.

Microwave mode
“Microwave” mode without additional func-
tions is shown by the
indicator on the
display (11). This mode is ideally suited to
defrosting smaller portions as well as the
preparation of:
– stews, soups, sauces,
– meat without crusts,
– steamed fish,
– vegetables,
– side dishes (potatoes, rice, boiled pota-
toes, some pasta),
– pizza,
– popcorn,
– hot drinks.
Appliance power levels
The appliance has 5 power levels.

compact dishes such as
roasts, meatloaf or plate

sauces or pound cake. When
using this setting, sauces do
not boil over and dishes cook
evenly, without the edges
turning hard or the dish
overflowing.

More compact dishes which
require a long cooking time
when using the oven, e.g.
beef dishes.

Cook rice, pasta and
dumplings, or heat baked
egg custard.

Gentle defrosting, e.g.

Starting the cooking process
1. Place the dish or drink into the cooking
chamber and close the door so that it
clicks into place and locks.
