Using the clock as a timer
You can also use the appliance’s clock as a
timer:
1. Press the “Time/Timer” button (16).
The
00:00
indicator appears on the dis-
play (14).
2. Turn the adjustment dial (19) to set the
required time.
3. Push the “Start/+30Sec/Confirm” but-
ton (18) to start the timer.
A beep will sound when the set time is up.
Switching on and off the
security locking mechanism
(child lock)
If the safety lock is activated, the indicator
lights up on the display (14).
• To switch on the security locking mech-
anism (child lock), press and hold down
the “Stop/Delete” button (17) for approx.
3 seconds.
A beep will sound and the display (14) will
show the indicator .
• To switch off the security locking mech-
anism (child lock), press and hold down
the “Stop/Delete” button (17) again for
approx. 3 seconds.
A beep will sound, and the indicator on
the display (14) will disappear.
Using the microwave oven
WARNING
Microwave hazard!
Microwave radiation can escape
through a door that fails to close ade-
quately. Under such circumstances, the
appliance may not be used.

Pay particular attention to the clean-
liness of the door seals and the door
sealing surfaces with all adjacent
parts.
■
Do not operate the appliance if the
door is warped or damaged, or if the
door latch, hinges, or door seals are
defective, or if the door does not close
tightly for any other reason.

Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage or cause a fire.

In the event of fire or smoke in the
cooking chamber: Do not open the
door! Switch off the appliance, pull
out the mains plug, or isolate the fuse
in your fuse box or switch off the ap-
pliance.

Improper handling of the appliance
may cause it to become damaged.

Never remove the cardboard on the
right interior wall! It serves to protect
the magnetron, which emits the mi-
crowaves.
■
Do not operate the appliance with an
external timer or a separate remote
control system.
■
Never operate the microwave without
a turntable and never without food!
