Emergency lowering
In the event that the DOWN button on the handset does not function, or in power failure situations, the person may be lowered
by Pressing down and HOLDING the red buttons. The emergency button’s is located on the handset and also on the Hoist
membrane switch panel. (Figure 31 and Figure 32)
Press and hold down on the emergency button (either one which you have chosen) until the person is safely lowered to the
desired position. The unit will continue beeping until the red button is released.
NOTE: The emergency lowering function does not provide a lifting function. The Emergency Lower should only be used in an
emergency, such as lowering a patient due to damaged handset etc.
Once the emergency button is released, contact your local authorised dealer to report the emergency and where applicable, a
service engineer may be sent out to solve the issue with the Hoist. Do not continue to use the Hoist after using the emergency
lower function before contacting the local authorised dealer. (See the last page of this manual for contact details).
