NOTES:
1.
Although a pattern is repeatable, its profile will change
from temperature setting to temperature setting. Therefore,
both the background data and the experiment data MUST
be acquired at the same locked temperature.
2. In situations where uncorrected/raw data is required,
perform background subtraction as a post-acquisition
process.
Figure 7-4 compares an unprocessed image with the same image after background
subtraction has been applied.
