crisper (recommended when you make sweet sandwiches with fruit
fillings).
PROTECTION OF THE DEVICE
This device is equipped with an internal protection system - a thermal safety
- which will automatically switch off and deactivate the appliance in case of
improper use. In this case, the thermal safety must be replaced only by an
authorized service center before you use the appliance again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
This appliance requires minimum maintenance. It contains no user
serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Take it to an authorized
service center if servicing is needed.
CLEANING
1.
After each use and before cleaning, unplug from the mains and let the
appliance cool down completely.
2.
Wipe the inside and edges of the plate with kitchen paper, absorbent
paper towel or a soft cloth.
3.
Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the
platen, allow this to stand for 5 minutes and when the filling has
softened, wipe it off.
4.
Wipe the outside with a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no
moisture, oil or filling enters the cooling slots.
5.
Do not clean the inside or outside surfaces with any abrasive scouring
pad ort steel wool, or abrasive or deteriorating cleansers as this will
damage the finish of your appliance.
6.
To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, NEVER
immerse cord, plug, or any part of your sandwich maker in water
or any other liquid.
This product is in strict conformity with all the valid directives of
European Union applying on this type of electrical appliances.
Protecting the environment
Should you find one day that your appliance needs to be replaced
or if it is of no further use to you, think of the protection of the
environment:
1)
Do not dispose your appliance along with the rest of the
public waste (this is also the meaning of the shown recycling
sign).
2)
Contact your Public Authorities and they will instruct you of
the recycling centers to which your appliances must be
disposed.
