Providing Redundant Input Power
Two independent AC power sources supply the redundant input
power to the BladeFrame BF200. Transfer of input power from one
power source to the other occurs automatically when one source is
interrupted.
A Static Transfer Switch (STS) provides the redundant input
power. Install the STS in the rack immediately above or below the
BladeFrame BF200. (See Figure 4.5 and Figure 4.6 for its location
in the rack.)
Figure 4.4 illustrates a Static Transfer Switch.
