About the BladeFrame BF200
BladeFrame
BF200 Hardware
The BladeFrame BF200 contains three major hardware
components:
•
Processing Blades (pBlades)
— pBlades provide the
processing power for applications and services.
•
Control Blades (cBlades)
— cBlades provide management and
control functions, plus all external I/O for the BladeFrame
BF200 system. The cBlade ES motherboard has a daughter card
that contains an 8-port Giganet switch.
•
BladePlane
— The BladePlane is the spine that connects all of
the physical components of the BladeFrame BF200 and
provides the fast transfer rate of the BladeFrame BF200.
BladeFrame
BF200 Software
Software shipped with the BladeFrame BF200 includes the
operating system running on the cBlade and PAN Manager
software. PAN Manager provides a single control point for
allocating, configuring, and monitoring both physical and logical
resources on a BladeFrame BF200 or on a group of BladeFrame
BF200s that are configured as a single Processing Area Network
(PAN).
