MAINTENANCE
OPERATION
To remove:
Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in the center
position. Remove the battery pack from the impact driver.
With the nose of the tool pointed away from you, pull the chuck sleeve away
from the driver. Remove the bit from the chuck.
CAUTION:
The impact driver is not designed to be used as a drill.
!
Keep the tool clean using a soft damp (not wet) cloth. Do not use solvents on
DRIVING OR REMOVING SCREWS
Place the direction of rotation selector in the correct position for the operation.
Hold the impact driver with one hand.
Place the bit on the screw head and slowly depress the switch trigger. Start the
bit slowly for more control.
The LED work light will illuminate as the trigger is depressed.
As the screw is driven, impacting will begin.
Do not drive a screw where there is likely to be hidden wiring behind
the surface. Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts
of the tool “live” and shock the operator. If you must drive a screw
where hidden wire could be present, always hold tool by insulated
gripping surfaces (handle) when performing the operation to prevent
a shock to the operator.

Lubrication is not necessary. After long use, have an authorized service centre
maintain and lubricate the tool.

Remove the battery pack
Open the chuck jaws as widely as possible so you can get at the chuck
retaining screw.
Unscrew the chuck retaining screw with a Philips screwdriver. Note that
this is a left hand threaded screw and you remove it by turning it clockwise.
Clamp the shorter arm of a large Allen wrench in the chuck, aligning it with
about 3/8" (10 mm) above that surface. Or press the drill body on the working
table and place the chuck over the edge of the table. (Be careful with your hand!)
Strike the long arm of the wrench with a hammer so that the chuck turns
counter-clockwise and unscrews from the spindle. This may require a fairly
sharp blow.
Repeat the process in reverse to install a new chuck.
