BLOCKING OF THE BOOKLET IN POSITION AND
LEVELLING
Turn the opening and closing binding slot knob in an anticlock
wise position (without pulling it out). The knob rotates on the
interna1 teeth; in this way the booklet to be bound is blocked.

In case some of the paper sheets are not properly aligned, the
following steps should be followed:
a) open the binding slot again slightly, using the opening/closing
knob (

b) level and align the paper sheets
c) using the same knob, close the binding slot again (
Fig. 13
)
NB.
Level and align the booklet so that all the paper sheets
are positioned correctly on the flat side of the slot.
PAPER SHEETS HEIGHT REGULATION
Check that the punches are at the same height and align with the
metal papercomb hatch.
Should the paper sheet be too low or too high, operate as
follows:
a) open the binding slot again
b) in order to raise or lower the booklet, rotate the knob situa-
ted on the left side of the machine accordingly (

c) close the binding slot again (
Fig. 13
)
CHOICE OF PAPER COMBS TO BE USED
It is important that a paper comb of the correct size, related to
the thickness of the booklet, is used.
This is indicated on the paper comb size control indicator, which
is situated on the upper part of the paper comb metal hatch.
PAPER COMB PREPARATION
Detach the paper teeth protection strip from the paper comb.

Lift up a corner of the paper comb adhesive protection paper, in
order to ensure that the subsequent operations are easily carried
