Loading the Nose Gear
Refer to Figures 10 and 11.
1) Perform the following steps to properly load the nose gear of an aircraft.
Start the tug engine. See “Starting the Engine” on page 8.
2) Ensure the Scoop assembly (3) is in the raised position before moving the unit.
To raise the Scoop assembly, press UP on the Lift Switch (1).
3) Position the Scoop in-line with and as close to as possible to the nose gear.
4) Press DOWN on the Lift Switch (1) to lower it to the ground.
5) Use the strap provided to secure the nose gear.
6) Press IN on the Winch Switch (2) to pull the nose gear onto the Scoop assembly.
7) Press UP on the Lift Switch (1) to raise the Scoop and nose gear.
8) Check to make sure the strap is tightly wrapped around the nose gear.
