f) Step Function
The
STEP
programming makes the calibrator output vary in pre-defined steps. It
is useful in calibrations where some scale points are verified; for example 0% - 25% -
50% - 75% - 100%.
To generate setpoints, you must set the minimum and maximum range points
(
MIN
and
MAX
) and the desired number of points.
If you want each step is achieved automatically after a preset time, you must set
the
TIME
(in seconds). In this case, the steps are controlled automatically and
continuously.
To start the STEP function, change the status of the
EXEC
switch to
ON
. Once
the function is activated, the output starts executing the
STEP
program. The steps are
automatically and continuously controlled according to the set time.

If a zero value is set for the time, the steps are not changed automatically (manual
step program). In this case, to move to the next step you must press the next set point
value button. By pressing the previous set point button, it returns a step.
