1. Connect elbow to HepvO valve. Note the orientation of HepvO valve, the ribs
must face downward.
2.
To connect spigot fitting to HepvO valve, first unscrew the HepvO slip-nut
from the outlet/inlet adaptor and slide the slip-nut, slip washer and rubber
seal onto the spigot. Insert the spigot fully into the socket. Slide the rubber
seal, slip washer and screw slip-nut against the face of the socket, and
tighten the slip-nut by hand, (check that the slip-nut is square to the body and
does not ‘cross-thread’), hand tight should be adequate to form a proper seal.
3.
Flexible tube is suitable for solvent welding. Connect spigot fitting to flexible
tube using suitable solvent cement for PVC DWV pipe joint. Ensure the
spigot is fully inserted into flexible tube.
4.
Cut the flexible tube to suitable length. Connect the other spigot fitting onto
the other end of flexible tube using the solvent cement.
5.
Glue the spigot onto connecting drain pipe (DN40 PVC DWV) using the
solvent cement.
6.
Fit elbow onto the outlet of basin or sink waste (1-1/2” BSP).
Maintenance
If mechanical devices such as spiral cables, rippers or water jetters are required
to clear blockages in the waste system, the HepvO valve must be removed first. It
is good practice to rinse the HepvO valve with a little clean water before replacing
it in the system.
