GNAT MX2 INCUBATOR
The Gnat MX2 Incubator is designed to incubate up to 2 Microslides, and can be powered from the mains
via the adaptor supplied, or via a cigar lighter cable in a vehicle. The temperature control is that of our MX
series, and is fully solid state, no maintenance required.
Prior to Use:
Unpack both incubator and power supply adaptor, then select the correct plug and clip in. Connect the
adaptor to the socket in the incubator and power up. The yellow heating light will illuminate for about 5
minutes while the incubator reaches temperature. It will then extinguish and cut in and out as heat is
required. Allow 10-15 minutes for initial stabilization, and it will then be ready to use. You can verify
heating by feeling the top of the incubator – it should be warm to the touch. If you wish to verify the actual
temperature with a thermometer, this should be done by placing the thermometer about 1 cm in the well.
Allow 20 minutes to warm through before reading temperature.
Safety:
This unit is low voltage (12v DC), so it is safe for use in all environments. Please do not allow any liquids to
enter the Incubator directly. The device is designed for long-term operation, but it is recommended that it is
unplugged when not in use to save energy. The Gnat MX2 features electronic overload protection for safety.

Cleaning:
A wipe over with a damp cloth is the best method. Avoid acetone or solvent based cleaners.
Service:
The Incubator is designed for constant long-term operation, and does not contain any user-serviceable parts
internally. Use only the adaptor provided. Please refer to the manufacturer/supplier for repair if required.
Warranty:
This product is under 24-month warranty in normal use. In the event of component failure or defective
workmanship, the unit will be repaired or replaced at the company’s discretion on an ex-works basis. This
comprehensive warranty, which does not affect any statutory rights, applies to the original purchaser only.
The date of invoice is deemed to be date of supply. This warranty specifically excludes damage to any part
of the Gnat caused by misuse, or any fault caused by incorrect treatment.

End of Life – This product can be Re-manufactured if returned to
the supplier/manufacturer – do not dispose of in domestic waste.
