Pre Charge (3)
▪
Identifies the battery voltage before charging.
▪
If the battery voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the
battery will be pre-charged in order to avoid damage to the
battery.
▪
12V: 5-8V 2 minutes, 8-10V 9 hours.
▪
24V: 5-16V 2 minutes, 16-20V 9 hours.
Constant Current (4)
▪
The main charging phase.
▪
The battery will be charged with the maximum current as
quickly as possible.
▪
70%~85% of the battery is charged in this stage.
Constant Voltage (5)
▪
The boosting phase.
▪
The charger constantly adjusts the charge so as the battery
voltage gets higher, the charging current becomes smaller.
▪
Constant voltage charging ends when the charging current
drops to =< 0.5C, at which time the battery should be almost
fully charged.
Recondition (6)
▪
When the battery has reached maximum voltage, the charge
changes to recondition mode since some batteries can be
charged to 15.7V.
▪
This charge lasts 2±0.2 hours at most and is only activated by
selecting 12V/RECON.
Voltage Analysis (7)
▪
The internal circuit automatically detects the variation of
battery voltage.
▪
An alarm will sound when the voltage exceeds 2V (12V) or 4V
(24V).
