POWERBASS AUTOSOUND “L” WOOFER FEATURES
Injection Molded PP Cone with enlarged Dustcap:
A unique injection molding process is used to
add strength to the lightweight polypropylene resulting in a very rigid cone. This results in accurate low
frequency reproduction at high power while offering durability and resistance to heat, humidity and dust.
Large Roll NBR Rubber Surround:
This large roll surround is used to ensure long and linear travel
throughout the entire excursion range resulting in more bass output and higher SPL. NBR is particularly
resistant to harsh elements.
Stamped Steel Treated Basket with Voice Coil Perimeter Aero-Vents:
This thick stamped steel basket is
manufactured to the highest quality standards. The baskets have been treated with a special non-resonant
coating to reduce “ringing”. Aero-Venting is incorporated in the basket design allowing cooler air to run over
the voice coil and keep the motor structure from overheating. Cooler woofers mean better bass.
Chrome Push Input Terminals:
These high strength compression loaded speaker terminals will ac-
commodate up to 10-ga wire and ensure maximum current and power transfer.
Large Motor Structure:
Just like a car’s engine, the motor structure of a woofer drives the cone. This
large motor will allow your L-series woofer to handle lots of power while delivering accurate linear move-
ment for deep tight bass.
BKSV Voice Coil Former:
A Black Kapton high temp voice coil former was chosen to reduce heat
while increasing power handling.
Domed One Piece Backplate:
The large dome shaped backplate yields a larger surface area to further
concentrate the magnetic field resulting in increased excursion. A “sand blast” finish provides a attrac-
tive yet durable look.
Rubber Mounting Gasket:
The protective rubber mounting gasket gives an airtight seal which elimi-
nates bass robbing air leaks.
