Auger Belt Tension Adjustment

Over time the auger belt will wear and stretch
requiring adjustment or belt replacement.

If the auger seems to hesitate when rotating,
proceed as follows:

The cable adjustment is limited to repositioning
the cable end into the upper hole in the auger
control handle.

Test the snow thrower to see if there is a
noticeable change. If no change is noticed after
making the cable adjustment, the auger drive belt
may need lo be replaced. The auger drive belt is
accessed behind the left side housing cover.

Storage

WARNING! Never store your Snow Thrower
for extended periods of time with fuel in the
tank. Fuel stabilizer can be added to the fuel to
extend its shelf life for storage.

Store the unit, in a locked, dry place out of the
reach of children to prevent unauthorized use or
damage. Cover loosely with a tarp for added
protection.

Engines stored over 30 days need to be drained
of fuel to prevent fuel deterioration and deposits
from forming in the fuel system or carburetor
parts. If the gasoline in your engine deteriorates
during storage, you may need to have the
carburetor, and other fuel system components,
serviced or replaced, this is not covered by
warranty.

If the snow thrower will not be used for 30 days or
longer, follow these instructions:
1. Remove all fuel from the tank by running the

engine until it stops.

2. Change the engine oil.
3. Remove the spark plug and pour

approximately 1 oz. (30ml) of clean engine oil

into the cylinder. Pull the Recoil Starter
several times to distribute the oil, and reinstall
the spark plug.

4. Clean debris from around the engine and

behind the muffler. Apply a light film of oil on
any areas that are susceptible to rust.

5. Store in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area away

from any appliance that operates with a flame
or pilot light, such as a furnace, water heater
or clothes dryer. Avoid any area with a spark
producing electric motor or where power tools
are operated. If possible, avoid storage areas
with high humidity. Keep the engine level
during storage, tilting the engine can cause
fuel leakage.

Cleaning

1. To clean your Snow Thrower, use a damp

cloth and mild detergent on the surfaces only.
Never get soap or water inside the working
mechanisms of your Snow Thrower.

NOTICE: Do not spray the engine with water to
clean. Water will contaminate the fuel. Using a
garden hose or pressure washer can force water
into the muffler. Water that enters the muffler can
cause engine damage. If the engine has been
running, allow it to cool for atleast an hour before
cleaning.
NOTICE: Do not clean with water. Water can
freeze due to low temperature and damage the
machine.

2. Clean the Snow Thrower of snow and ice

buildup before storing or transporting. Be sure
to secure the unit while transporting.

3. Inspect the Snow Thrower carefully for worn,

loose, or damaged parts. Check connections
and screws and tighten if necessary.
