Protect the power cable from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
2. Use Correct Extension Cords
Use only UL listed extension cords having a polarized 3-wire, 3-prong grounded outlet with sufficient Amps/Watts
rating to supply the power requirements (located on the nameplate) of the tool. Inspect extension cord before use
and never use damaged or altered extension cords. Follow extension cord manufacturer safety instruction.
Always disconnect the extension cord from the power source before disconnecting the tool.
3. Grounding instructions

SPECIAL SAFETY RULES FOR USE WITH GRINDERS
Installing Eye Shield (Figure 4)
1. Loosen the center hex nut (3) of one of the eye shields (1). Position the eye shield so that the three hex nuts are
away from the operator when in position and slip over the mounting rod (2).
Note:
the eye shields are identical and will fit on left or right side.
2. Tighten hex nut (3) so that the eye shield can be moved by hand but remain in position when released.
3. Rotate the shield into position so that it is between operator's eyes and grinding wheel or other accessory.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNINGS:
1.
Never touch the grinding wheel while it is moving. Do not touch the work piece after grinding, it will be very hot.
2.
Always wear ANSI compliant safety glasses at all times while operating the grinder.
Caution:
Always make sure the wheel retaining screw is securely tightened before operation.
Operation
1.
To start the grinder, push the On-Off rocker switch (1) to the "On" position. To stop, push the switch to the "Off"
position.
2.
To turn On the work light (2) rotate On-Off rotary switch (3) clockwise one position. To turn the light Off, rotate the
On-Off switch clockwise to the next position.
3.
Allow grinder to reach full speed before contacting the work piece to the grinding wheel or other accessory.
4.
Use steady and uniform pressure on the work piece for best results. Move the work piece at an even pace across
the surface of the grinding wheel for smooth finish. Excessive pressure can cause premature wear of the grinding
wheel and possible overheating of the motor.
5.
Keep a container of water near by and dip the work piece to prevent overheating.
WARNING:
Risk of personal injury - Never grind magnesium, magnesium alloy, wood or masonry with this machine.
