Drill completely through steel with a 9/32 in. drill bit at the pre
-
marked
locations. Attach the wall bracket to the mounting surface with the
included M8 Screws or 1/4 in.
-
20 hex bolts, 1/4 in. flat washers, 1/4 in.
lock washers and 1/4 in. hex nuts.
5.
Mount the fan to a masonry surface with 1/4 in. expansion type bolts or
1/4 in. masonry lag screws with a shield that are designed to handle the
weight of this fan (Fig. 2-3). Drill holes at pre
-
marked locations using an
appropriately sized drill bit as recommended for the fastener.
6. Unscrew both bracket screws (Fig. 2-2 and 2-4).
7.
Slide the fan support (Fig. 2-1) into the wall
bracket’s receivers. Align the bolt holes in the
receivers with the fan support bolt holes.
8. Tighten both screws until they pass into the fan
support.
9. Remove all four screws from the motor’s front
housing and set aside.
10. Separate the front and rear grill by removing the
security screw and opening the clips.
11. Position the rear grill so the bolt holes in the center ring align with the
motor’s bolt holes. Make sure the security screw bolt hole is positioned
at the lowest point.
12. Reinsert the four screws and tighten until the rear grill is secure.
13. Loosen the collar screw on the fan blades. Slide it onto the motor shaft
until it is seated. Tighten the collar screw to secure the blades.
14. Place the front grill onto the rear grill and align the bolt holes. Use the
clips to hold the grills together, then insert the screw and tighten.
15. The fan is ready for use.
OPERATION
1.
Plug the fan directly into a properly grounded wall outlet.
2. Adjust the airflow upward or downward by loosening the pivot nut and
tilting the fan, then tightening the pivot nut.
3.
The fan has three speeds and an OFF setting. Each pull of the right
string increases the speed setting one step from OFF, Low, High and
back to OFF.
4.
The left string will turn the oscillation ON or OFF with each pull.
