SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from
repeated use) replace strict adherence to the device safety rules. If you use
this device unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury.
WARNING! Do not use this stove for heating enclosed indoor areas.
1. Use the correct device for the job. This device was designed for a specific
function. Do not modify or alter this device or use it for an unintended purpose.
2. Do not connect to a remote gas supply. The stove is designed for use with
butane cylinders only.
3. The pot/pan must fit on the struts of the drip pan (A).
a. Do not allow an oversized pot/pan to sit on the side panel (H). The
pot/pan may become unbalanced and slip off the stove.
4. Keep area around the stove clear of debris or materials that can ignite or
may be damaged by heat.
5. Do not touch the stove’s components until sufficient time has passed to
allow it to cool. Touching it before it is cool could cause a burn injury.
6. Remove the butane cartridge before performing maintenance on the stove.
BUTANE GAS SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! If at any time gas odour is detected, immediately discontinue
operation until the source of gas has been located and corrected.
1. Use only butane gas. Follow all safety instructions on the butane cylinder.
2. For outdoor use only. The area must be well ventilated. Provide a minimum
opening of 1 sq. ft. (0.093m2) near the floor and 1 sq. ft. (0.093m2) near the
ceiling. Do not use inside of a house, camper, tent, vehicle or any other type of
unvented enclosed area.
3. Do not use the heater in a basement or below ground level. Butane is heavier
than air and can collect in a low area.
4. Before connecting the heater to the butane cylinder, make sure the stove
regulator knob is in the OFF position. Always connect and light the stove in areas
free of open flames.
