periodically. Have damaged or worn components repaired or replaced by an
authorized technician. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3.

replacements.

improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
ADDING HYDRAULIC OIL
NOTICE! Do not overfill the air cylinder with hydraulic
oil. This can impair the tool’s function.
1.
Disconnect the air hose from the riveter.
2. Invert the tool to remove the base cover (Fig. 3).
a.
Place the tool in a vise to free up both hands.
3.
Remove the air cylinder cap (#52) with the
wrench (#54) provided (Fig. 4).
4.
Remove the air/hydraulic piston assembly by
gripping the exposed nut and pulling up (Fig. 4).

The hydraulic oil level should barely cover the
lock nut (#50) connecting the air cylinder to the
handle (#13). Add hydraulic oil until the level is
just above the connection (fig. 5-1, next page).
6.
Lightly lubricate the inner wall of the air cylinder.
7.
Press the piston and air cylinder cover assembly
back into place as far as possible. Tighten the
