OPERATION
NOTICE! The angle finder is a precision measuring instrument. Dropping or
banging the device may result in impaired function or inaccurate readings.
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included Identification Key.
Dashed numbers in parenthesis (Fig. 1-1) refer to a specific point in an
illustration or image
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
Press the ON/OFF
button (D) to activate/deactivate the Angle Finder’s LCD Screen (G).
The screen will shut off automatically to preserve batter power after approximately 5
minutes if no buttons are pressed or the fold-out arm (A) isn’t moved.
MEASURING ANGLES
Position the fold-out arm (A) and the base (C) flat
against the two surfaces that form the angle (Fig. 2).
The displayed reading corresponds with the internal
angle (Fig. 2-1) between the base and the fold-out
arm. The reading is indicated on the display until the
arm or base is moved in relation to each other.
HOLD THE MEASURED VALUE
Retain the current reading by pressing the HOLD button (F). The word HOLD
appears in the display and will not change until the HOLD button is pressed
again. Moving the fold-out arm (A) will not affect the reading.
TRANSFERRING THE MEASURED ANGLE
Measure the angle and note the angle displayed in the LCD screen (G) move the
angle finder to the workpiece without moving the fold-out arm (A) or base (C).
Check that the angle reading is the same and mark the workpiece (Fig. 3).
The second method is to measure the angle, press HOLD to retain the angle and
record it. You can turn the angle finder off until ready to transfer the angle.
