Operation Instructions
Installing and changing drill bits.
Clear slivers and any foreign objects away from the bit and the chuck so that the
bit can be tightened securely.
Insert the bit as far as it will go into the chuck.
Switch operation
The drill is equipped with a lock-on button,
convenient for continuous drilling. Press down the
trigger switch to start drill operation, and release it
to stop. For continuous operation, press down the
trigger switch, then push in the lock-on button
before releasing the trigger switch. The drill will
continue running after release of the lock-on
button. To cease operation, press and release the
trigger switch.
WARNING!
Let the drill operate for one minute without load before beginning to
drill.
Speed Adjustment
The drill speed can be adjusted using the speed
control adjuster on the switch. Turn the speed control
adjuster clockwise to increase the speed, and
counter clockwise to decrease the speed.
Reversing Direction
The rotating direction of the drill is controlled by a
lever located above the trigger. Toggle the lever to
the right of the trigger (from rear) for a forward
drilling operation. Toggle the lever to the left of the
trigger (from rear) for a reverse drilling operation.
Hammer / Drill Switch
To alternate between drilling and hammering functions, there is a switch at the top
of the tool. Selecting the hammer icon allows the drill to function in the hammering
function, and the drill icon for the drilling function. When drilling masonry, it is
recommended to use the hammering function. The adjustable depth stop gauge
allows you to accurately drill to a pre-set depth.
Maintenance
1. The brushes should be checked periodically, and replaced when they become
worn. Replacement should only be performed by a qualified technician.
2. Keep the vent passages clear from dirt by wiping the drill periodically.
3. If anything unusual happens during operation, turn off the drill and unplug it
immediately. Inspect and repair the tool before further use. Repairs should only
be performed by a qualified technician.
