Tool Use and Care
• Do not force the tool, it will do the job better and safer at the rate
for which it was designed.
• Use the right tool, do not force a small tool or attachment to do
the job of a heavy-duty tool. Do not use the tool for a purpose it is
not intended for (eg: using a circular saw to cut tree limbs or
logs.)
• Secure work. Use clamps or a vise to hold work, it is safer than
your hand and frees both hands to operate the tool.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never carry tool by cord or tug on it to
disconnect it from the receptacle. Keep cord away from heat, oil
and sharp edges.
• The use of any accessories not specified in this manual may create
a safety hazard.
• Disconnect tools when not in use and before servicing.
• Store idle tools in a dry place inaccessible to children.
• Do not alter or misuse tool. Unauthorized alterations or
modifications could damage the tool or make it dangerous to use.
• Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and
safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and
changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodically and if
damaged have them repaired by an authorized service facility.
Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged. Keep
handles dry, clean and free from grease.
• Check damaged parts before further use. Damaged parts should be
carefully inspected to determine that they will perform their
intended functions. Check for misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage or any other conditions that may affect operation.
A damaged part should be properly repaired or replaced. Do not
use a tool if its switch does not turn it on or off.
• All repairs should be attempted only by an authorized service
technician.
