PREPARATION FOR INSTALLING THE EQUIPMENT
Minimum safety distances
CAUTION
When installing the equipment, keep the minimum safety distances and ensure proper conditions
for maintenance tasks. Be aware of all the minimum insulation requirements established by the
applicable electrical code, as well as the thermal, safety and accessibility requirements.
The safety
distances given in this section must not replace in any way the mandatory regulations of the country in
which the equipment will be installed.
For proper inspection, as well as correct handling, it is important to leave clearance around the
equipment. The following image shows the recommended minimum distances:
Side to side distance:
Front side distance:
For the working or maintenance moments in the charger, it requires 1m free of
obstacles in front of the door, which allows open the door completely and work fluently.
Rear side distance:
It does not require a special rear space; it can be installed in touch with a wall or
other element.
The minimum distance between chargers is shown above. However, the distance between parking
spaces must be also considered since the user should be able to maneuver the hose between two cars.
The maximum length reached by the charging hose should also be taken into account.
Maximum hose range
When installing the equipment note that the charger frame 1 has only one hose and the frame 2 has two
hoses, one on each side. As the hose outlet is at the base, there is no noticeable difference in range
between opposite seats.
The hose range depends on the length selected by the customer, the standard hose in IEC is 3m / 9.84ft
and in US is 3,65m / 12ft straight cable, but other options are available.
