APPLICATION

The tacker enables you to fasten various materials, such
as fabric, wood, gauze, cardboard and leather. There-
fore, the tool is suitable to upholster furniture, to wrap
objects.
For this tool, use one of the following types staples or nails:

U: 6, 8, 10, 12, 13 or 14 mm

T: 14 mm

I: 14 mm

Suitable staples and nails are provided by Esco, Rapid,
Novus and Wolfcraft.

LOADING THE TACKER

Before opening the tool, make sure the tool is dis-
connected.

Unlocking slide

1. Turn the metal rear plate of the slide to unlock the

slide.

2. Remove the slide from the tool.
3. Place the staples or nails in the cartridge

4. Replace the slide in the tool.
5. Lock the slide by fastening the metal rear plate.

1. Place the tool with point A at the spot where the

staple or nail should be located.

2. Press the tool down firmly.

3. Press the safety catch and hold it in this position.

Stapling

4. Press the switch.

The tool will cause a rebound because of the force it
operates with. Keep this in mind.

TROUBLESHOOTING

In case of malfunction, disconnect the tool imme-
diately.

In case a staple or nail is jammed in the tool, fol-
low the procedure below

1. Disconnect the tool.
2. Carefully remove the staple or nail from the tool with

a thin object (for example a knife).

14.Disconnect tools

When not in use, before servicing, and when chan-
ging accessories such as blades, bits and cutters.

15.Remove adjusting keys and wrenches

Form the habit of checking to see that keys and adjus-
ting wrenches are removed from tool before turning
it on.

16.Avoid unintentional starting

Do not carry plugged-in tools with finger on switch.
Be sure switch is off when plugging in.

17.Outdoor use extension cords

When tool is used outdoors, use only extension
cords intended for use outdoors and so marked.

18.Stay alert

Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do
not operate tool when you are tired.

19.Check damaged parts

Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part
that is damaged should be carefully checked to deter-
mine that it will operate properly and perform its
intended function. Check for alignment of moving
parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts,
mounting, and any other conditions that may affect its
operation. A guard or other part that is damaged
should be properly repaired or replaced by an autho-
rized service center unless otherwise indicated
elsewhere in this instructions manual. Have defective
switches replaced by an authorized center. Do not
use tool if switch does not turn it on and off.

20.Warning

The use of any other accessory or attachment other
than recommended in this operation instructions or
the catalog may present a risk of personal injury.

21.Have your tool repaired by an expert

This electric appliance is in accordance with the rele-
vant safety rules repairing of electric apliances may be
carried out only by experts otherwise it may cause
considerable danger for the user.

BEFORE YOU OPERATE THE MACHINE

Make sure the switch is “OFF” before you plug in the
machine.

Keep the cable away from moving parts.

IMMEDIATELY SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE
WHEN

Interruption in the mains plug, mains lead or mains
lead damage.

Defect switch.

Smoke or stench of scorched isolation.

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the tacker

1. Check the following points:

Do the voltage of the engine and the engine safe-
guard, if any, correspond to the mains voltage
(appliances for a mains voltage of 230 V~);

Are the mains lead and the mains plug in a good
condition: solid, without any loose ends or
damage.

2. Always wear eye protection when using the tool.
3. Maintain the tool with care.
4. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,

breakage of parts, and any other condition that may
affect the tools operation. If damaged, have the tool
serviced before using.

5. Check if the slide cartridge has been fastened pro-

perly.

6. Do not use the tool in a humid environment.
7. Do not use the tool on materials containing asbestos.

Using the tool

1. Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it

"ON" or "OFF".

2. Always hold the tool with two hands while starting.
3. Always keep the cord away from the moving parts of

the machine.

4. Keep your hands away from the work piece.
5. In the case of jamming by a nail or staple, switch the

machine off immediately and remove the plug from
the mains.

6. Never aim the tool at people or animals.
7. Use only staples or nails fit for this tool.
8. Make sure not to damage any leads when using the

tool.
