E. After Use
Before putting the chair away, carry out a visual inspection to confirm that the chair is
in a suitable condition. If unsure, please contact your site manager. When the chair has
been used, inspected and put away, complete the form at the back of this booklet. This
forms part of the inspection log.
To put chair away:
1. Close lap belt buckle.
2. Close footrest and clip lower leg strap closed around foot rest. Leave chest belt
undone at this stage but leave placed on opened seat pan.
3. Retract stair glide tracks by holding the BLUE bar in palm of hand and pulling
outwards and push upwards towards the chair back, until an audible click is
heard to indicate that the tracks are in their closed position.
4. Slide the neck support to its highest position.
5. Lower the top handle by holding it with one hand whilst with the other hand pull
the centre of the red bar towards you and then control the decent of the top
handle to the lower position.
6. Release the locked brakes.
7. Position the rear of the chair in front of wall bracket.
8. Push the chair into the wall bracket so that the clips are positioned between the
brake levers.
9. Move the chest straps to hang loose on either side of the chair.
