FLOOR EDGING
Adjust the paint remover guide screws so that paint can be removed up to
the intersection of two surfaces. This, coupled with the light weight and ease
of handling, makes the Disc Sander–Paint Remover ideal for secondary floor
edging jobs.
SANDING MASONRY
The Paint Remover is excellent for preparing masonry surfaces for painting. Use
a #24 or #36 grit carbide disc for this job since the grit on paper discs is quickly
destroyed. Masonry is sanded in the same manner as wood.
SANDING LARGE AREAS
Use a scaffold to sand large areas that cannot be reached from the ground.
Sand in the same manner that you would sand small areas - left to right,
right to left, up, down, or in a circular path until you have covered the entire
surface.
SANDING UP TO WINDOW OR DOOR FRAMES
If the window or door frame is on your left, adjust the left rail of the paint
remover so that it is higher than the edge of the pad. Adjust the right rail so
that it is lower than the edge of the pad. If the window or door frame is to
your right, adjust the rails in the opposite way.
REMOVING PAINT FROM PORCHES
To remove paint from porches, raise one
rail above the pad edge and lower the other
rail below the pad edge. The machine can
be moved from left to right, right to left, or
in circular paths (Fig.15).
