SAFETY & SECURITY
Dual Stage Frontal Airbags
Dual stage frontal airbags for the driver
and right front passenger adjust the
amount of restraint in relation to the
severity of an impact. For moderate
impacts, the airbags deploy at a level
less than full deployment. For more
severe frontal impacts, full deployment
occurs.
See Section 1 of your Owner Manual.
The side impact airbags are located in
the roof above the side windows. They
are designed to inflate in moderate to
severe side crashes and only on the
side of the vehicle that is struck.
See Section 1 of your Owner Manual.

Climate Controls
The climate control system regulates the
heating, cooling and ventilation of your
vehicle.
Airflow Modes
The climate control system includes five
primary modes:
(Vent):
Directs air to the instrument
panel outlets.
(Bi-Level):
Directs half of the air to
the instrument panel outlets and the
remaining air to the floor outlets.
(Floor):
Directs most of the air to the
floor outlets with some air directed to the
side window outlets and windshield.
(Defog):
Directs air to the windshield,
side window outlets and floor outlets.
Recirculation will not function in this
mode.
Refer to your Owner Manual for
a listing of driver warning messages
and infotainment messages. The driver
warning messages provide critical
infotainment to prevent damage
to your vehicle. It is important to read
your Owner Manual and become
familiar with the information displayed
and what action to take to ensure safety
and to prevent damage.
See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.
Located inside the vehicle’s heating and
air conditioning housing, the cabin air
filter reduces dust, pollen, smoke and
other contaminants within the vehicle
cabin. A reduction in the amount of
airflow coming from the heating and air
conditioning outlets could indicate a dirty
cabin air filter.
See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.
