time you shift out of Park (P), and the

doors will unlock every time you stop

and turn the ignition to OFF.

• By choosing ON for AUTO DOOR

LOCKS, and ON for UNLOCK and

Park, your doors will lock every time

you shift out of Park (P) and will

unlock every time you stop and shift

into Park (P).

• By choosing ON for AUTO DOOR

LOCKS and OFF for UNLOCK, your

doors will lock every time you shift

out of Park (P), and there is no auto-

matic door unlocking when the vehi-

cle is placed in Park (P).

• By choosing ON for UNLOCK and

DRIVER for DOOR TO UNLOCK,

only the driver door will automatically

unlock when shifting into Park (P) or

turning the key to OFF.

• By choosing ON for UNLOCK and

ALL for DOOR TO UNLOCK, all

doors will automatically unlock when

shifting into Park (P) or turning the

key to OFF.

• Choose the desired mode from the

following list by pressing the RESET

button until the desired mode is dis-

played. Press SELECT to store your

choice in memory.

Programming Locks with the Remote

Keyless Entry Transmitter

1. Keep doors closed, the shift selector

lever in Park (P), and the ignition key

in the ON position.

2. Press and hold the driver’s door

power lock switch in the LOCK posi-

tion through Step 4 (below). 

3. Press the button with the lock symbol

on the Remote Keyless Entry trans-

mitter (the automatic locks remain in

the current mode).

4. Press the button with the lock symbol

on the transmitter again. The door

locks will cycle up and down to let

you know which mode you are in 

(for example, three cycles for Mode

3); Mode 0 has no feedback.

5. Release the power door lock switch

when the desired mode is reached.

The automatic locks will retain the 

latest mode selected.

This procedure changes the mode only

for the transmitter used to change the

setting. Repeat the procedure for the

other transmitter and personalize to the

other driver as desired.

Door Locking/Unlocking Modes:

• MODE 0 (OFF): No automatic door

locking/unlocking.

• MODE 1: All doors automatically lock

when the shift lever is moved out of

Park (P). No automatic door unlock.

• MODE 2: All doors automatically lock

when the shift lever is moved out of

Park (P). Only the driver door auto-

matically unlocks when shifted into

Park (P).

• MODE 3: All doors automatically lock

when the shift lever is moved out of

Park (P). All doors automatically

unlock when shifted into Park (P).

• MODE 4: All doors automatically lock

when the shift lever is moved out of

Park (P). Only the driver door auto-

matically unlocks when the key is

turned to OFF (DIC-equipped vehi-

cles only).
