PREPARATION FOR USE

•  Remove the water tank (

3

) from the appli-

ance (fig.1).

Open the lid to fill the tank (

4

) (Fig.2).

•  Fill the water tank with water up to the MAX

level marked on the water tank.

NOTE:  It is possible to fill the tank while it is
inserted.

While refilling switch off and di-

sconnect the appliance from the mains.

Normal tapwater can be used.  In  hard wa-
ter areas we recommend the use of  KAL-
STOP, a special natural-base decalcifier
which inhibits and breaks down limescale,
making it easy to remove just by swilling out
the tank with a little tapwater.
Do not use demineralised water alone, but
mix it with tap water as described above.

Never use distilled water or scented wa-
ter.

• Close the cap again (

4

) and reinsert the

water tank (

3

) until you hear the hook click.

•  Connect the cable plug to an earthed power

supply of the correct voltage.

•  Press the ON/OFF switch (

1

); the ON indi-

cator light (

A

) and the iron hearing light (

11

)

will turn on.

• Press the boiler switch (

2

); the steam pres-

sure light (

B

) will come on and a buzzer will

sound.

•  The sound emitted on switching on your ap-

pliance and periodically during use, is due
to the water refilling system and is quite
normal.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Check the manufacturer’s label on the gar-
ment, and interpret the symbol on the label as
follows:

STEAM IRONING

• Set the iron temperature to its maximum

travel on the “COTTON - LINEN” steam po-
sition (fig.3), by turning the dial (

7

).

•  Wait for both the pressure indicator light (

B

)

and the iron heating indicator light (

11

) to

go out (about 3 minutes). Push the button
(

10

) on the iron to release bursts of steam

from the holes on the soleplate. Release
the button and the steam flow stops.

NOTE:

during initial operation of the iron, a

few drops of water mixed with steam may
come out of the soleplate until the tempera-
ture stabilises. It is advisable to direct the
first jets of steam onto an old cloth until a
uniform jet of steam is obtained.

•  By turning the steam flow control knob (

6

)

you can vary the quantity of steam accord-
ing to the kind of textiles to be ironed (more
or less delicate). You can increase the
steam flow by turning the knob in clockwise
direction. Turning it in an anticlockwise di-
rection reduces the steam flow (fig.4). We
suggest the maximum emission for heavy
textiles like jeans and linen, medium for cot-
ton, minimum for light delicate textiles.

CONTINUOUS STEAM JET BUTTON
For Vaporella Forever 630

• To have a continuous jet of steam, press

and move the button backwards

(10a)

(Fig.5). The steam will continue to come out
even when the button is released. To inter-
rupt the supply, move the steam button

(10a)

forward (Fig 5a).
